Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad to say that the animation bit of your flash is DONE.
the only things left now is for Giles to type up his essay and add some background music to the flash.

Hi-5

Flash - The statistics so far...

Dimensions: 550 px(w) x 400px(h)
Size: SWF: 92kb
FLA: 592 kb (NB: no sound yet, it will get a LOT bigger when we add sound)
Symbols: 28
Scenes: 4
Frames: 534

And anyone who wants to see the highly detailed size report (27kb with no formatting) need only ask to see it (I would have put it here but it didn't work)

Flash 90% complete

Well we've finished our loading animation,
4 slides answering the questions, end presentation and we just have the essays to hand in i still need to finish the other half of my essay and Giles needs to do his and put info on to his slide on the FLASH but overall we're basically finished.

I found an acupuncture yin yang thing

Matt power was tlaking about a yin yang power balance thing and i found this picture representing that theory

Few more scenes to go

We are basically done, I just need to finish the other half of my essay and submit it then we just need to make a few more scenes in the FLASH then we're done.

=( :D)-I--<

Matthew Power -Chinese Medicine

Today Matthew powere gave a speech on acupuncture. He told us there was round about 360 different points for the needle to puncture. He said that the needles realease "CHI" throughout the body. So basically if a particular part of the body is sore it either has too much or too little CHI. The neeldle can realease the muscles that are blocking the natural path of the CHI to follow.
He gave us these showbags that promote what acupuncture is all about so that people are more infromed about acupuncture and don't just think about the scary needles!

What I have been doing - A glimpse into flash animation

A screenshot, more or less of what I have been doing. The dimensions are different, and there is ANIMATION, and all sorts of usefull actionscript. We have finished the loading animation, have a title frame, and a menu, we now need to add the information, but there are frames waiting for it. We have yet to add a closing animation or sound, but we easily have enough time to finish it.

Halfway through at least 4 me!

Well,

the first half of our challenge is nearly over. My group is progressing very well. Our research showed us many interesting facts and figures.

Anyway, my part of the challenge is the econmical cost of alcohol abuse.

This is really linked to the topic. The Australian government has spent a fair bit of money to try to keep alcohol abuse under control. However, parts of the national cost can be avoided. This means the government has the chance to keep the cost relatively low. Also, this shows that the government isnt doing enough! tut tut John Howard! SO MANY PROMISES AND HARDLY HARDLY ANY RETURNS!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

pot belly drunkard

Today we actually amde prgress on the loading scene for our flash animation.

I drew the pot bellw drunkard

Giles did the fancy unknown stuff

Mark supervised

Now the pot belly guy moves his arm and slowly fills himself with alcohol.
When we're done we intend to make a start to our flash movie, presentation, thing

Oi! Mr Yeap read my comment

I wrote my conclusion.

Loading

We have started working on the loading animation. Apart from a few minor bugs, all that is needed is the actionscript so that the bar's size will be proportionate to the amount loaded.
The most noticeable problem is that there are some lines going off too the right. I have web page authoring next, so i can ask for help there.

Naturopathy

Chris Brooks gave a presentation on naturopathy. I found myself disagreeing with many of his views. I do not see how spirituality has any effect on your health, and homoeopathy is an ill-conceived pseudo-science. I believe that any positive effects of naturopathy are caused by a placebo effect and not atheism is not a belief, in the same way the not collecting stamps is not a hobby.

Start on our essays

today two guest speakers came one was an Osteopath and one Chiropractor.
we started our essays and i finished my one on downsides of drinking i am currently in the middle of finishing my good copy of "effects of alcohol on the human body"
We still need to make our Gantt chart.

My research part done!!!!!!

Finally i have finished typing my essay on the economic cost of alcohol abuse.

it wasnt too hard. Julz is nearly completed his while Giles needs to type up his. he is listening to the naturopath talk. He looks pretty interested to me.

To whom it may concern

For those who dont know who is Shaken not stirred, he is Julian Tan of 9M

Today

We had a guest speaker. He was an osteopath. Even though it wasnt related to our challenge, it was still very interesting. Osteo means bone while path means disease. Osteopaths treats their patient systemically as well as looking at the problem at a whole.

After the talk, i was writing or sumarising the reserach i had used or found. it is nearly finished. i think my group is porgessing at a good pace.

Guest speaker-David Sollberger

David to Xplore, he explained the osteopathic health and well being. He gave us demonstrations on how to crack several parts of the body.

Osteopathic health

What i learnt from his speech
that has to do with health
and it has to do with bones
Not many osteopaths are around compared to physicians and chiropractor

Start Researching!

well

now we have chosen our topics.

Giles will be researching on how it affects social life and community.

Mark will be researching the actual costs.

And I will be researching the affects on the human body

We have decided to do a website with a drunkdude lloading...

""(>.<)""

First Session of Xplore cycle 2

We have just made our groups and we have to make a mind map on us to show that we can work effectively together.
